DappRadar continues to be a source of accurate reports in the NFT and crypto space. One of the platform’s most recent reports placed Polygon and WAX at the top of blockchain gaming protocols in March.
Blockchain gaming activities were reduced by 3.33% last month with 741,567 daily Unique Active Wallets (dUAW). Games continue to dominate the blockchain industry with 44.37% of UAWs.
Although an 8.11% reduction occurred in dUAWs from February, WAX remains the leading gaming blockchain with 314,976 dUAWs. The popular and explorative game Alien Worlds accounts for 66% of activities on the WAX blockchain.
The report highlights a 53% growth in dUAWs on Polygon with 138,081 dUAWs in March. Polygon can associate its growth with BoomLand’s Hunters On-Chain.
In Q1 2023, Planet IX commanded 43% of activities on Polygon, allowing the blockchain to overtake Hive as the second top gaming protocol.
Hive experienced a 27.37% decrease in dUAWs, reaching 84,926 in March. Splinterlands continues to control Hive’s activities by 99%.
The DappRadar report also accounts for the top ten blockchain games in March based on their monthly Unique Active Wallets (mUAWs). Alien Worlds topped the list with 580,000 mUAWs. New mobile games, Iskra and Yuliverse, are second and ninth on the list. Such breakthroughs by these mobile games might indicate that mobile game developers might control the future of Web3 gaming.
Iskra, which recently released 3 Kingdoms Multiverse (3KM), boasts 319,000 mUAWs. Popular Splinterlands is #3, despite a 23% decrease in mUAWs from the last quarter. Yuliverse experienced a 2,656% increase in mUAWs resulting in 91,000. Benji Bananas made a comeback and is fourth on the list with 242,000 mUAWs. Hunter On-Chain, the blockchain version of well-known Web2 Hunters, has accumulated many players with 134,000 mUAWs.
