Decentraland’s metaverse fashion week (MVFW) is here again and will be live from March 28 to March 31!
This time it’s bigger and better than last year’s edition with an impressive lineup of iconic fashion brands including (but not limited to) Tommy Hilfiger, Vogue, Gucci, DKNY, and Adidas as well as popular Decentraland creators, like House of Barth, Phygicode, The Fabricant, and Altr.
Last year, Decentraland made a huge impression on the entire fashion community and was able to attract big brands from around the world including Etro, Imitation of Christ, Tommy Hilfiger, Elie Saab, Hogan, Dundas, and Estée Lauder. Additionally, the fashion week caused quite a stir that various media outlets covered the event from across the world, and it was a huge success.
Virtual events, such as these which promote virtual shopping, serve as an alternative advertising outlet and encourage fashion brands to get into the metaverse, have a positive impact on the Web3 community, and showcase the benefits of NFTs to the fashion industry.
Currently the most anticipated Web3, Decentraland MVFW 2023 will begin with a grand opening with the Luxury District as the most visited space in the metaverse. There’s also Genesis city where you can attend an exclusive show in honor of the late Vivienne Westwood from the Digital Design Community.
Ready for some excitement? Diesel and HAPE will be hosting a party with NFT airdrops for attendees!
Here are some specific things about Decentraland MVFW 2023 to look forward to:
- Adidas will create experiences that bring Decentraland users and ITM holders together.
- Ben Bridge will be opening its first store in the metaverse with exclusive wearables.
- Dolce & Gabbana will focus on promoting new designers.
- DUNDAS will launch wearable pieces in collaboration with DressX.
- Tommy Hilfiger will showcase AI-generated fashion items plus daily drops.
- Vegas City will also showcase new digital assets with Perry Ellis.
In a statement, Dr. Giovanna Graziosi Casimiro, Head of Metaverse Fashion Week at the Decentraland Foundation said:
“This year we are incredibly honored to continue the legacy of Metaverse Fashion Week. We are seeing the return of many luxury fashion houses, and also the emergence and elevation of digitally native fashion. We are excited to see the world’s greatest fashion minds engaging in digital fashion and exploring what it can mean for their brands, and for their communities.”
