The Sandbox and Warner Music Group Present A Game Jam

The Sandbox is now partnering with Warner Music Group for the last Game Jam of the year to celebrate the end of 2022. 

As any other Game Jam organized in The Sandbox Metaverse, users can join and create a game experience around the music theme. Creators can create a social experience if they’d like along with a game with a storyline as well.

The Game Jam is now open, and users can submit their experiences until January 2nd, 2023 at 3 pm UTC. 

The participants will not only enjoy the Game Jam, but they’ll be also competing for 30,000 SAND which will be split amongst the entries like all other The Sandbox’s Game Jams before.

The experiences created by the participants will be judged mainly on 4 categories where each carrying 25 points. These categories are Overall Idea, Game Design, Creativity, and Playability. There is also a 5th category which is determined by the whole The Sandbox users and their impression towards the experience, the Wow Factor. It grants up to 25 bonus points.

How to participate in the Music Game Jam

The Sandbox announced the entry requirements for the Game Jam. Game builders can submit their entries if they are designed in the Game Maker software. The game length should be at least 5 minutes and be created at least 25 different assets that are designed by the applicants themselves. 

Also, the experience the participants created should have been built around the music theme. Although having followed a storyline is optional, we think that it’ll be a huge addition to the experience in the sense of playability.

The Sandbox will be using the Game Maker “Gallery” feature as a form for submissions. Game builders can use this form to submit their entries.
