Elixir Games is joining forces with popular Japanese game publisher Square Enix for Web3 gaming! By partnering with Square Enix, Elixir hopes to blend Web2 and Web3 gaming.
Although the details of their collaboration are still sketchy, both parties believe that the collaboration will improve the adoption of Web3 gaming.
Elixir’s CEO Carlos Roldan said in a statement that the team sees its users switching between both Web2 and Web3 game worlds seamlessly without pinpointing any difference. He also added that by teaming up with Square Enix, they are gearing up efforts for “scalability”.
On the other hand, Square Enix’s Director of Business Development Hidaki Uehera shared that the partnership is an opportunity for Square Enix to further ride the waves of decentralized or Web3 gaming.
Square Enix has always been passionate about unlocking all the benefits of Web3 gaming. It led the investment round in The Sandbox in 2020 and was also part of the latest fundraising round late last year.
This is not the first time Elixir is collaborating with a Web3 gaming giant. Earlier, this year, it partnered with Epic Games to deliver more exciting gaming experiences for users.
Earlier this year, Square Enix partnered with Gumi to launch NFT-based games. Also, it became a validator on Oasys. Furthermore, it created and unveiled Symbiogensis on Polygon. Hence, we can say that the company is very active and try to make players happy in the virtual world. Now, it develops its power with the partnership with Elixir.
