Thanks to KIA America’s year-long close collaboration with Petfinder Foundation, 22,422 shelter animals were placed in their forever homes. The $500,000 donation from Kia, which was made in February 2022 as part of the “Robo Dog”-starring Super Bowl commercial, went towards funding adoption expenditures.
The brand also released 10,000 generative NFTs in addition to the 10,000 free NFTs made accessible. 90% of the direct sales from these rare models went to Petfinder Foundation to assist in securing permanent homes for animals in need.
Additionally, a 10% royalty was attached to the blockchain smart contract so that Petfinder Foundation benefits every time when an NFT Robo Dog from the series is sold again on a secondary market. An additional $100,000 was donated to Petfinder Foundation as a result of the Kia NFT sales.
Kia has already had record sales, and initiatives, like this one, will only add to the company’s expansion across the United States. With its excellent cars, humanitarian activities, and effective marketing, Kia is quickly rising to the top list of most popular manufacturers in the United States.
