HashKey Capital has ended its funding session for its FinTech Investment Fund III. The raised capital will be used for financing various startups and businesses to boost the rate of adoption across various industry verticals.

HashKey Capital completes $500 million investment funding round
Earlier this week, the global asset manager revealed it has successfully completed a funding session which generated a sum of $500 million for its FinTech Investment Fund III.
In the announcement, HashKey Capital stated that the $500 million will be used to develop certain infrastructure and technologies which will help its goal of mass adoption of industry technologies.
The CEO of HashKey Capital, Deng Chao, mentioned that the company’s investment funding round was intended to close at $600 million. However, HashKey Capital prioritized timing over the magnitude of the fund. He said about this fund:
“We are now at the bottom of the next cycle. That’s why we closed the fund and launched it officially. We closed our previous two funds too at the bottom of the next cycles in 2018 and 2020.”
The investment director at the company, Xiao Xiao also shared his ideas; he stated that investors stand to gain from investing in funds as they provide an opportunity to participate in the Web 3.0 space. The investment also brought up the massive changes in the type of investors currently investing in Web 3.0.
