Grease Monkey Games, a division of Animoca Brands, has teamed up with Mishimoto on the newly announced game, titled Torque Drift 2. 

As a result of the collaboration, rare Mishimoto licensed utility NFTs will be added to the game, increasing the game’s Web3 abilities as well as the drift racing simulation experience. 

This collaboration expands the game’s Web3 functionality and simulation encounter for drift racing. It also provides racing game players with a realistic and interactive virtual drifting experience. 

Torque Drift 2, the official on-chain game for Formula Drift, offers a real-world racing experience for Web2 and Web3 gamers equally.

The details of Torque Drift 2 

Torque Drift 2 is a metaverse racing game that is part of the REVV Motorsport and is built on the Polygon blockchain. 

Since its inception, Polygon has pledged to pay off the entire network’s carbon debt. It also would enhance the chain climate. Torque Drift 2 is also focused on environmental concerns ; it ensures that gamers have fun while also helping to clean up the environment.

Mishimoto will offer its automotive knowledge and experience for the game’s design as part of this collaboration. It will populate the virtual world with iconic elements, like intercoolers and gear shifters. To improve performance, players can customize their in-game vehicles.

The game will be released for PC in 2024 with game versions to follow. Torque Drift 2 will have a playable demo available in the second quarter of 2023. The demo allows players to try out the highly anticipated remake of the highly popular game.
