Upland and UNICEF Brazil have announced a long-term partnership to create a new social project and Web3 academy aimed at providing education, training, and employment opportunities for young people in Brazil. Upland will hold a holiday sale for its community members to buy exclusive digital items, with the proceeds going to UNICEF to fund education programs in Brazil as part of the partnership.

What is Upland?

Upland is a Web3 platform that allows users to create and sell digital goods and experiences in a virtual world map to the real world. The company is based in Silicon Valley with offices in Las Vegas, Ukraine, and Brazil. It has been recognized as a top tech company by Fast Company and one of the startups to watch in San Francisco by Built In SF.

Forming the future of Web3 step by step

Two UNICEF-branded structures will be built on properties in Rio de Janeiro and sold in the UNICEF Showroom which can be visited virtually. These items, inspired by holiday gnomes, are popular digital items used to customize properties on the platform.

UNICEF’s One Million Opportunities initiative, in partnership with Upland, is offering an educational program to teach the fundamental skills of Web3, blockchain technology, smart contracts, and the metaverse to students. The program will also provide job-specific, digital, entrepreneurial, and transferable skills training.

Idan Zuckerman, the co-founder and co-CEO of Upland, shared his excitement for this new collaboration:

“In the past four years, we have seen thousands of stories of Upland users realizing financial success because of their web3 knowledge. In partnership with UNICEF, we’re excited to create an opportunity for Brazil’s youth to learn how to create the same opportunities for themselves through a multi-touch web3 experience showcasing fun, innovation, entrepreneurialism, and community, as well as a real-world academy to support them first hand.”

The partnership’s goals:

The partnership aims to ensure that thousands of Brazilians between the ages of 18 and 24 are educated in Web3, creating a link between secondary education and training. This is a significant step towards preparing the next generation for a world in which Web3 and blockchain technology are expected to play a major role.

The collaboration between Upland and UNICEF Brazil presents a chance to offer education and training to young people in Brazil and support UNICEF’s education programs in the country. The holiday sale and creation of UNICEF-branded structures on the Upland platform are innovative ways to raise funds and aid this significant initiative.
