Sony Network Communications, a division of Sony, has announced a partnership with Astar Network to launch an incubation program for Web3-based startups, which will focus on blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.

Through the program, Astar Network will provide mentorship and support to early-stage startups looking to leverage these technologies to develop innovative products and services. The program is designed to help startups for scaling and accelerating their growth while offering a platform for engaging with the industry.

Startups accepted into the program will gain access to Astar Network’s expertise and resources, which include adopting blockchain technology, business development opportunities, marketing advice, and funding. 

The incubation program will also provide access to Sony’s network of partners, including blockchain platform providers, investors, and other industry participants. Participants will receive mentorship and support from Astar Network’s industry experts and access to Sony’s resources and network. Furthermore, Sony will provide initial seed funding to successful applicants.

Sony x Astar Network Web3 Incubation Program

The incubation program will be coordinated by Sony and Astar in conjunction with Startale Labs, a Singapore-based company formed by Astar Network CEO Sota Watanabe. By utilizing Astar’s development, prior consulting, and R&D business expertise, Startale will offer commercial strategy and technical support to participating companies.

The program is designed to provide a platform for the best and brightest entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses to collaborate, learn from each other, and grow. Sony and Astar Network will provide their expertise in the field of web development and design to help participants reach their full potential. In addition, the program will provide access to their vast network of contacts and resources from across the tech industry. If the incubation period goes on smoothly, Sony will support projects financially and technically.
