Delivering on its promise to foster education in underdeveloped nations, Floki has partnered with Pencils of Promise to commission a school building project in Ghana.
About Floki
Nicknamed “The People’s Cryptocurrency”, Floki is a community-based crypto project that encompasses meme, utility, gaming, charities, governance (DAO), and crypto education. In the Floki ecosystem, there’s something for everyone. Its native coin is Floki Inu, named after Elon Musk’s dog Shiba Inu. In recent times, Floki has mapped out strategies to position itself as a project that matters – not just a meme coin project. Last year, it launched its first metaverse project, Valhalla, and also unveiled FlokiFi, an innovative protocol for securing digital assets, like fungible tokens, NFTs, Liquidity Pool (LP) tokens, and ERC-1155 tokens.
About Pencils of Promise
Pencils of Promise is a non-profit that strives to create healthy and safe learning environments for underprivileged children. They deploy well-trained teachers and support them to provide the education that equips students to reach their full potential. Their projects are transparent, monitored, and optimized from time to time to ensure the effectiveness of every intervention.
Floki x Education
Part of the core values of Floki is charity and improving the lives of people around the world via crypto and education. So, this is not the first time Floki is commissioning an educational project for those who need it most. Last year, it partnered with Tabitha Cumi Foundation, an NGO supported by the United Nations and the Embassy of Japan to build a school project in Nigeria.
For each school it commissions, the Floki team unveils a block of a fully built computer laboratory and six blocks of classrooms in total. Its purpose is to bring state-of-the-art education and boost crypto adoption by educating these young ones.
Other countries that currently have Floki schools are Laos and Guatemala.
